There are said to be hundreds and thousands of different types of charms that are made from enamel that can be purchased from many different countries around the world.
Enamel charms are small in size because they should be small and neat enough to fit on a bracelet or necklace. The charms are able to resemble practically anything, many popular designs are said to be animals, initials, flags, hearts and insects.
Enamel Charm Manufacture:
When making the Enamel charms the metal backing is apparently moulded first, the metal can be made from gold, silver, brass, platinum, stainless steel and many more. After the backing has been created the enamel is then meant to be set into the design in the appropriate areas after being coloured.
Sometimes the enamel can be coated in a transparent resin which, when set, can apparently be polished to a high intensity shine. The enamel charms can have a small hoop or ring moulded into it, this hoop or ring allows the charm to be attached to a bracelet or necklace.

Enamel charm colouring:
Enamel can be coloured to all different shades of colour before it has set by apparently mixing dye into the cooling mixture before the enamel has set, alternatively the colour can be aded afterwards by using an enamel paint mixture which will colour then enamel after it has set.
